Für Michelle David waren die letzten 18 Monate bizarr. Nach der Veröffentlichung ihres Albums »Gospel Sessions Vol.3« passierten auf einmal allerhand Dinge, es gab Ups und Downs. Die Band wurde überall in Europa gut aufgenommen, die Fangemeinde wuchs, aber dann kam die Diagnose Brustkrebs. Ein Schock für alle Beteiligten, aber mit viel Unterstützung und positiver Einstellung konnte sie die Krankheit besiegen.
All dies führte zu »Vol. 4: Victory!«. Persönlich sowie musikalisch resultierte dies in einem triumphalen Projekt. Beeinflusst von den Geschehnissen ist das neue Album die facettenreichste Arbeit, die Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions produziert haben. Von Reggae zu Afrobeat, über Northern Soul und Boogaloo zu ihren wahren Wurzeln - Rhythm and Gospel.
