Michael Bublé feiert 2021 den zehnten Geburtstag seines Weihnachtsalbums »Christmas«. Passend dazu veröffentlicht der kanadische Sänger und Songwriter eine 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition auf Doppel-CD und eine Limited 10th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box mit LP, DVD, Doppel-CD und ein paar besonderen Extras.»Christmas« ist das siebte Studioalbum und das fünfte Major-Label-Studioalbum von Michael Bublé. Das Album erschien im Oktober 2011. Es war bereits sein zweites Weihnachts-Release nach seiner 5-Songs-EP »Let It Snow« aus dem Jahr 2003. Für »Christmas« wurden ein paar der Songs neu aufgenommen. Neben dem Sänger sind auf dem Album auch diverse Gäste vertreten, darunter Country-Ikone Shania Twain im Song »White Christmas«, die Puppini Sisters in »Jingle Bells«, Latin-Star Thalía in »Feliz Navidad« und die US-amerikanische A-cappella-Gruppe Naturally 7 in »Silver Bells«. Weitere Highlights auf der Platte sind Neuaufnahmen von Mariah Careys »All I Want For Christmas Is You« und »Blue Christmas« sowie der neue Song »Cold December Night«, den Bublé mit seinem langjährigen Co-Autor Alan Chang und dem Produzenten Bob Rock schrieb.
»Christmas« erreichte gleich in mehreren Ländern Platz eins der Charts, darunter die USA und Kanada, Großbritannien und Deutschland. Mit über 12 Millionen verkauften Exemplaren weltweit ist es das erfolgreichste Album des Sängers und eins der meistverkauften Alben des 21. Jahrhunderts.
Für die Neuauflage wurde das Album jetzt noch erweitert. Die Deluxe-Doppel-CD enthält neben dem Originalalbum eine 7-Tracks-Bonus-CD mit vom Künstler persönlich ausgewählten Songs und zwei neu aufgenommenen Liedern: dem von Bublé mitverfassten »The Christmas Sweater« und einer neuen Studioversion des Christmas-Evergreens »Let It Snow!«, aufgenommen in den berühmten Abbey Road Studios in London mit dem BBC Big Band Orchestra. Weitere Songs auf der Bonus-CD sind »The More You Give (The More You’ll Have)« und »Winter Wonderland«, ein Duett mit Rod Stewart.
