The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Zwei Tracks stammen aus dem Studio, der Rest sind mitreißende Live-Tracks, darunter eine Coverversion von Neil Youngs »Don't Cry No Tears«. »Son of Altered Beast« ist ein Muss für Sweet-Fans, ein faszinierender Einblick in die Live-Energie des Musikers in seiner produktivsten und vielleicht besten Zeit.
»Son of Altered Beast« wurde von Ryan K. Smith bei Sterling Sound. Die Hybrid-SACD ist voll, warm und dynamisch und eine dramatische Verbesserung gegenüber der CD aus den 90er Jahren, die im Vergleich sehr hart und kristallin klingt.
