Entstanden ist so ein wunderbar melancholisches Werk, das gewohnt düster und intim daherkommt, manchmal zerbrechlich wirkt, um dann doch eine hypnotisierende Stärke freizusetzen.
Getragen werden die Songs vor allem von Nadlers glasklarer Stimme, die auf dem Album namhafte Gesangsunterstützung von Angel Olsen, Kristin Kontrol (Dum Dum Girls), Sharon Van Etten erhält.
