2002 wurden Killing Joke von Jazz Coleman, Geordie and Youth erneut reaktiviert und mit Dave Grohl am Schlagzeug ein im Jahr 2003 veröffentlichtes, neues Studioalbum eingespielt, das eine Rückkehr zu den musikalischen Wurzeln der Band darstellte und dementsprechend auch einfach Killing Joke betitelt wurde. Um das Album zu promoten trat man im legendären Astoria / London auf.
Der mit Klassikern wie »Wardance«, »Requiem«, »Follow The Leaders«, »Kings And Queens« gespickte Gig machte deutlich, dass Killing Joke nichts von ihrer alten Klasse verloren hatten. Wütender Postpunk mit wutentbrannten Vocals und wuchtiger Bass-Line. Letztere von Paul Raven, der hier eines seiner letzten Killing Joke-Konzerte vor seinem Tod spielte.
