- Das Gesangsquintett THE MAJORS aus Philadelphia, bestehend aus vier Jungs und einem Mädchen, wurde ursprünglich 1959 als The Versatiles gegründet
und nahmen nur eine 45er Platte auf, bevor sie sich auflösen mussten, als Uncle Sam für die Jungs anklopfte.
- 1962 formierten sie sich als The Majors in der gleichen Besetzung wieder; Leadsänger Ricky Cordo mit seinem unverwechselbaren Tenor, sowie Ron Gathers, Gene Glass, Frank Troutt und Idella Morris.
- Nachdem sie sich mit dem Produzenten Jerry Ragovoy zusammengetan hatten, hatten sie drei wirklich großartige Platten in den Charts: "A Wonderful Dream", "She's A Troublemaker" und "A Little Bit Now", die hier sowohl in Mono 45rpm und Stereo LP Versionen enthalten sind.
- Diese Zusammenstellung versammelt alles, was die Gruppe in ihrem magischen ersten Jahr aufgenommen hat, einschließlich weiterer 45er wie 'Anything You Can Do', 'Tra La La' und 'One Happy Ending' sowie sowie ihre LP Meet The Majors.
- Zu den Bonustracks gehört die äußerst seltene 45rpm-Veröffentlichung von The Versatiles aus dem Jahr 1960, 'Lundee Dundee' b / w 'Whisper In Your Ear'.
