Mit »Truth Is A Beautiful Thing« präsentieren London Grammar 2017 den lang erwarteten Nachfolger zu ihrem Top-5-Debütalbum »If You Wait« aus dem Jahr 2013.
Insgesamt elf neue Songs hat das britische Trio, bestehend aus den Mitgliedern Hannah Reid (Gesang), Dan Rothman (Gitarre) und Dominic Major (Keyboard) dafür in den letzten drei Jahren geschrieben, aufgenommen und zusammen mit Paul Epworth, Jon Hopkins, MyRiot und Martin Glover produziert.
Mit den Singles »Rooting For You«, »Big Picture« und dem Titeltrack »Truth Is A Beautiful Thing« gab es seit Anfang des Jahres bereits dreimal Vorgeschmack auf das neue Album. Alle drei Songs zeigen, dass sich London Grammar 2017 treu bleiben: melancholisch-sanfter Dreampop zwischen Electronica und Indie-Pop trifft auf die charakteristische Gänsehautstimme von Sängerin Hannah.
Neben der Standard-CD und der Doppel-LP gibt es »Truth Is A Beautiful Thing« auch als Deluxe-Edition. Diese enthält zusätzlich zu den Albumsongs acht Bonustracks, darunter auch verschiedene Demos und Mixes. Ein besonderes Highlight der Deluxe-Edition ist die Coverversion des The-Verve-Klassikers »Bitter Sweet Symphony«.
Das Erfolgsrezept funktioniert nach wie vor bestens: Auf ihrem zweiten Album »Truth Is A Beautiful Thing« bleiben London Grammar sich selbst und ihrem unverwechselbaren Sound treu.
