Die Irin Lisa O’Neill ist in Ballyhaise, County Cavan, aufgewachsen und lebt heute in Dublin. Heard A Long Gone Song ist eine Sammlung von traditionellen Stoffen und eigenem Material. Zu Beginn des Jahres 2018 performte Lisa O’Neill zusammen mit Nick Cave, Bono, Sinead O’Connor bei Shane McGowans 60. Geburtstagsfeier in Dublins National Concert Hall. Sie gehört zu den großen Namen der irischen Folk-Szene und ist für einen Irish Folk Award in der Kategorie Bester Folk Interpret nominiert.
