Es war ein denkwürdiger Abend: Am 10. Januar 2015 fand in der DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C. ein Tributekonzert zu Ehren der Countryikone Emmylou Harris statt. Den Mitschnitt dieses Liveevents gibt es jetzt mit »The Life And Songs Of Emmylou Harris (In Concert)« in Bild und Ton.
Zu den musikalischen Gästen gehörten unter anderem Kris Kristofferson, Mary Chapin Carpenter Alison Krauss, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, Mavis Staples, Conor Oberst und viele mehr.
Solo oder gemeinsam performten sie 19 der größten Emmylou-Songs, darunter »One Of These Days«, »Born To Run«, »Two More Bottles Of Wine« und »Boulder To Birmingham«.
Natürlich ließ es sich auch Emmylou Harris persönlich nicht nehmen, bei ein paar der Songs auf der Bühne mitzuwirken.
