Killing Joke ist eine britische Post-Punk-Band, die 1978 in Notting Hill, London, gegründet wurde. Die Band besteht aus dem charismatischen Sänger Jaz Coleman, dem Gitarristen Geordie Walker, dem Bassisten Martin »Youth« Glover und dem Schlagzeuger Paul Ferguson (bis 1987 und erneut seit 2008). Killing Joke ist bekannt für ihren einzigartigen und düsteren Sound, der Elemente aus Post-Punk, Industrial, Metal und Gothic Rock vereint. Killing Joke hat nicht nur die Musikwelt geprägt, sondern auch andere Bereiche wie Film, Kunst und Literatur beeinflusst.
