»Oh My God« heißt das neue Album von Kevin Morby für 2019.
Das Doppelalbum hat seinen Namen von Morbys eigener Single »Beautiful Strangers« aus dem Jahr 2016, in der der Satz »Oh My God« mehrfach verwendet wird. Er inspirierte ihn dazu, ein komplettes Konzeptalbum zu dieser Phrase zu schreiben.
Gesagt, getan. 14 Tracks hat der amerikanische Singer-Songwriter für sein fünftes Album, den Nachfolger von »City Music« aus dem Jahr 2017, aufgenommen. Diese drehen sich unter anderem um die Themen Religion, Gott und den Himmel.
Wie »Oh My God« klingt, verriet Kevin Morby bereits mit der Singleauskopplung »No Halo«.
Die Produktion des Albums übernahm Singing-Saw-Kollege Sam Cohen.
Neben der CD gibt es »Oh My God« auch als Doppel-LP, und zwar passend zum Thema auf Sky-Blue-Vinyl.
