»Musikalisch hat der mittlerweile 83-jährige begnadete Gitarrist Williams wieder ganz großes Kino der alten Schule geschaffen. Das ist so weit weg von der heutzutage üblichen Krach-Bumm-Unterlage für die Handlung, dass es eine Wohltat ist. Williams komponiert eine echte Dramaturgie, arbeitet konsequent mit den Mitteln eines großen Orchesters, arbeitet aber vor allem mit Melodie, ohne sich auf die schiere mögliche Wucht zu verlassen.« (LP Magazin, 6/2016)-
