Der US-Gitarrist, Sänger, Komponist und Texter ist fünffacher Grammy-Gewinner und Mitglied der »Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame«. Er gehört zu den einflussreichsten zeitgenössischen Singer-Songwritern der amerikanischen Musikszene und gehörte neben Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Jackson Browne u. a. zur Speerspitze der gehobenen Singer / Songwriter-Gilde der 1970er Jahre.
Im Mai 1981 wurde das nun in exzellenter Qualität als Doppel-CD vorliegende Konzert vom Radiosender WNEW-FM gesendet.
