Das zweite Studioalbum, das Dury für Polydor einspielte, wurde ursprünglich 1984 veröffentlicht und enthält in dieser Remaster-Version sechs Bonustracks (fünf davon bislang unveröffentlicht).
Das Album stand ganz im Zeichen seiner Zeit und beschäftigte sich u. a. mit der Gefahr des drohenden Atomkriegs (‘Ban The Bomb’). Egal welches Thema, ob Krieg oder Liebe, Dury brillierte hier stets mit messerscharfen Texten und Wortwitz, wie etwa auf den Songs ‘The Man With No Face’, ‘Very Personal’ oder ‘Tell Your Daddy’.
Diese Reissue wurde von Originalbändern digital neu gemastert, und enthält ein 20-seitiges, informatives Booklet.

With 4000 Weeks’…, Dury demonstrated, once again, his supremacy as champion of the written word. And you can’t help but marvel at the dexterity of his delivery. Remastered from the original tapes, this version features six bonus tracks, five of them previously unreleased, as well as 20-page booklet complete with lyrics and new sleevenotes.
