Crimson präsentiert »Gold«, die einzige Heatwave-Compilation, die Sie jemals benötigen werden. Heatwave sind eine britische Funk- und Disco-Band, die 1975 gegründet wurde. Die Gruppe kam 1976 mit ihrem Debütalbum »Too Hot Too Handle« auf den Markt. Das Album brachte die erste Hit-Single »Boogie Nights« hervor, die sowohl in den USA als auch in Großbritannien auf Platz 2 landete und der erste in einer Reihe von Hit-Rekorden für die Gruppe war. Heatwave's einflussreicher Funk-Disco-Sound führte dazu, dass Mitglied Rod Temperton an Tracks für Michael Jacksons »Off The Wall«-Album arbeitete und später den ikonischen »Thriller« schrieb.
Die neue Zusammenstellung enthält Titel aus der gesamten Karriere von Heatwave, darunter alle Hit-Singles und eine dritte CD mit Disco-Mixen.
