'Coast To Coast Motel' ist das zweite Album der aus Philadelphia stammenden amerikanischen Alternative-Blues-Hip-Hop-Band, aufgenommen in New Orleans, und wie schon auf dem Debüt hat es einen richtig schönen bluesigen Touch.
Das eröffnende "Sweet Sugar Mama" ist bassgetrieben mit einem Hauch von New Orleans Funk. Weitere Highlights sind das sanfte "Nancy", das erhebende "Chains # 3" und das aufsehenerregende "Small Fish".
Die Gruppe erreicht ein großartiges, grooviges Zusammenspiel, das den Hörer leicht in seinen Bann ziehen kann. Jimmy Prescotts Kontrabassspiel und Jeff Clemens' Schlagzeugspiel sind tight und verschlossen, während G. Love seine kratzige Bluesgitarre obendrauf legt. Diese Jungs haben den Groove gefunden!
