Mit »As Long As You Are« veröffentlichen die Synthie-Pop-Indie-Rocker Future Islands aus Blatimore 2020 ihre neue, sechste Platte, den Nachfolger von »The Far Field« aus dem Jahr 2017.
Und damit feiern sie gleich zwei Premieren: »As Long As You Are« ist nämlich sowohl das erste Album mit Tour-Drummer Mike Lowry als vollwertigem Bandmitglied als auch das erste, das Future Islands selbst produzierten.
Unterstützung gab es von Tontechniker Steve Wright, in dessen Wrightway Studios in Baltimore sie die neuen Songs auch aufnahmen.
Elf sind es insgesamt geworden, darunter die beiden Singleauskopplungen »For Sure« und »Thrill«.
