Happy Birthday Frida Lyngstad
Wer sie nicht direkt am Namen erkannt hat, dem hilft es vielleicht, wenn man statt Frida von Anni-Frid Lyngstad spricht. Genau: Die Rede ist von der ehemaligen Sängerin der legendären schwedischen Popgruppe ABBA.
Am 15. November 2015 feiert die Sängerin ihren 70. Geburtstag.
1982 war »Something’s Going On« erstmals erschienen, das damals kein Geringerer als Phil Collins produzierte. Das Album war das erste, das Lyngstad komplett auf Englisch einsang und wurde ihr größter internationaler Erfolg außerhalb von ABBA. Es verkaufte sich weltweit ca. 1,3 Millionen Mal. Insgesamt 13 Tracks befinden sich auf der Platte, darunter die Singles »I Know There’s Something Going On«, »To Turn The Stone«, »I See Red«, »Tell Me It’s Over« und »Here We’ll Stay«, ein Duett mit Phil Collins.
Neben den elf ursprünglichen Albumtiteln gibt es auf »Something’s Going On« zudem zwei weitere Songs, die bei einem Remastering des Albums 2005 hinzugekommen waren.
