Faithful Breath wurden ursprünglich bereits 1967 in Bochum gegründet. Das erste Album »Fading Beauty«, eine Mischung aus Krautrock, Prog und Psychedelic, folgte im Jahre 1974 und ist heute ein gesuchtes Sammlerstück. Sechs lange Jahre später folgte »Back On My Hill«. »Rock Lions« (1981) und »Hard Breath« (1983) ebneten schließlich den Weg für »Gold ›N‹ Glory«, das 1984 auf dem belgischen Label Mausoleum das Licht der Öffentlichkeit erblickte. Nicht wenige halten »Gold ›N‹ Glory« für das beste Album, das Faithful Breath je aufgenommen haben.
