Ursprünglich unter dem Namen "Raw Noise" bekannt, waren EXTREME NOISE TERROR eine der ersten Bands, die einen aggressiven Stil des Crustpunk spielten. Dieser Crust-Punk wurde später als Grindcore bekannt. Sie waren sehr einflussreich und inspirierten den Beginn unzähliger Crustcore-Bands.
