Evanescence haben alles arrangiert
Evanescence sind zurück. Die amerikanischen Alternative-Rocker melden sich 2017 nach gut fünf Jahren aus ihrer Kreativpause zurück. Im Gepäck haben Amy Lee, Tim McCord, Will Hunt, Troy McLawhorn und die neue Gitarristin Jen Majura ihr neues Album »Synthesis«.
Es handelt sich dabei bereits um das vierte Studiowerk der Band, den lang erwarteten Nachfolger des selbstbetitelten »Evanescence« aus dem Jahr 2011.
16 Tracks haben es auf die Platte geschafft. Neben zwei neuen Liedern handelt es sich hauptsächlich um alte Lieder, die Evanescence für »Synthesis« zusammen mit David Campbell mit komplett neuen orchestralen Arrangements versahen.
Wie das klingt, verriet das Quintett bereits vorab mit ihrer neuen Version von »Bring Me To Life« sowie mit der zweiten Single, dem neuen Song »Imperfection«. Für den zweiten neuen Song auf dem Album, »Hi-Lo«, arbeitete man mit Stargeigerin Lindsey Stirling zusammen.
Neben der Standard-CD und einer Doppel-LP inklusive CD gibt es »Synthesis« zudem als Deluxe-Edition mit der CD und einer Bonus-DVD. Diese enthält eine Making-of-Dokumentation, Instrumentalversionen und das gesamte Album als 5.1-Surround-Mix.
Mit ihrem neuen Album »Synthesis« zeigen Evanescence eindrucksvoll, wie facettenreich sie selbst und vor allem ihre Songs sind. So hat man diese Stücke noch nie gehört.
