Tony®-Gewinner Robert Lopez ("The Book of Mormon") und Kristen Anderson-Lopez ("In Transit") schrieben acht bezaubernde Songs, die das Eis schmelzen lassen und die Story von DIE EISKÖNIGIN musikalisch untermalen. Der Score stammt aus der Feder von Erfolgskomponist Christophe Beck ("Pitch Perfect", "Die Muppets"), der letztes Jahr mit der Musik zum Kurzfilm "Im Flug erobert" den Oscar® gewann. Entstanden ist eine einzigartige Compilation, die beide Seiten des Kino-Abenteuers - die emotionale Geschichte sowie den unvergleichlichen Humor - vereint. Neben der Musik aus dem Film ist auch die offizielle Single zu DIE EISKÖNIGIN "Let It Go" von Chartstürmerin Demi Lovato ("Demi", "Unbroken") enthalten.
Der Film-Soundtrack ist in der deutschen und englischen Fassung digital und als CD erhältlich. Fans der deutschen Version können sich unter anderem auf Hape Kerkeling freuen, der dem Schneemann Olaf auch gesanglich seine Stimme leiht.
