Das zweite Album von Diamanda Galás wird manchmal auch als Panoptikon bezeichnet (die Komposition auf der A-Seite des Albums). Das Album besteht aus zwei Stücken: "Panoptikon", das von Jack Henry Abbott inspiriert wurde, der 1981 in seinem autobiografischen Buch "In the Belly Of The Beast" seine Erfahrungen im Gefängnissystem beschrieb, und "Song From The Blood Of Those Murdered", ein Werk, das den politischen Gefangenen gewidmet ist, die während der griechischen Militärjunta von 1967 - 1974 gefoltert und hingerichtet wurden. Das Album, das ursprünglich 1984 auf dem von Henry Kaiser und Larry Ochs 1978 gegründeten Label Metalanguage erschien, war lange Zeit vergriffen.
Nun ist es erstmals auf CD erhältlich, die Vinyl-Version folgt. Das von Heba Kadry neu gemasterte Album mit aktualisiertem Artwork, für das Galás verantwortlich zeichnet, folgt auf die kürzliche Wiederveröffentlichung von Galás' 1982er Solodebüt The Litanies Of Satan (2020) und Deformation (2021) auf Intravenal Sound Operations.
