Strange / Strange Too
The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Strange (1988) und Strange Too (1990), die zuvor als Einzeltitel im VHS-Format und Laserdisc erhältlich waren, sind Zusammenstellungen der provokanten und visionären Kurzfilme des Meisterfotografen/Regisseurs Anton Corbijn. Diese wurden in Zusammenarbeit mit Depeche Mode erstellt, um eine neue visuelle Ikonographie für die Band und ihre Musik zu schaffen.
Strange/Strange Too ist zum ersten Mal in DVD- und Blu-ray-Konfigurationen erhältlich und präsentiert 11 Musikfilme von Anton Corbijn/Depeche Mode, neu restauriert aus originalen Super-8-mm-Quellen, zusammen mit sechs zuvor unveröffentlichten Outtake-»Vignetten« aus den DM-Archive. Bei der Zusammenstellung der endgültigen Schnitte für »Strange and Strange Too« erstellte Corbijn eine Reihenfolge, bei der die einzelnen Musikvideos als ein zusammenhängender Film wahrgenommen werden können, inklusive zusätzlichen Zwischensequenzen, die in den Originalclips nicht zu sehen waren.
Die Strange/Strange Too DVD- und Blu-ray-Konfigurationen sind in einem Digipack mit einem 16-seitigen Concertina-Booklet mit Fotos und neuen Linernotes aus der Feder von Anton Corbijn erhältlich.
