SACD (Super Audio CD)

The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Mit »Dream With Dean« versetzt Martin 1964 seine Fans in die Lounge eines Nachtclubs zu später Stunde. Die feiernde Menge macht sich auf den Heimweg, doch der Entertainer und seine Band sind noch da. Zusammen mit Schlagzeuger Irv Cottler, Bassist Red Mitchell und Gitarrist Barney Kessel spielt er den Song, der zu seinem Markenzeichen werden sollte: »Everybody Loves Somebody«. Der Titel, der später im gleichen Jahr in der Singleversion zum Hit wurde, wurde hier von Martin in einer sehr entspannten Fassung eingespielt.

Ryan Smith übernahm das Remastering von »Dream With Dean« für Analogue Productions in den Sterling-Sound-Studios und rief damit in der LP-Version bereits große Begeisterung hervor. Jetzt ist sie auch als Hybrid-SACD erhältlich. Das beiliegende Booklet enthält Liner Notes von Stan Cornyn.
