Das schwedische Duo DEAD SOUL ist ein perfektes Beispiel dafür, wie aus scheinbar völlig gegensätzlichen musikalischen Lebenswegen eine wahre Sensation entstehen kann! Ihr zweites Album »The Sheltering Sky« ist das erste Werk, welches Razzia Notes – das Label von Anders Fridén (In Flames) – in Kooperation mit Century Media Records veröffentlichen werden.
Der Sound von DEAD SOUL liegt zwischen Nick Cave, Nine Inch Nails und Johnny Cashs »American Recordings«, Sänger/Gitarrist Anders Landelius kommt aus dem Blues-Genre, Niels Nielsen aus dem elektronischen Bereich. Niels arbeitete als Tourmanager für Ghost und ist auch als Produzent gefragt. Er war u. a. verantwortlich für die Vorproduktion und Engineering des Ghost-Goldalbums »Infestissumam«, arbeitete aber auch schon mit obskuren schwedischen Death Metal-Bands wie Maim.
Die Vinylversion erscheint auf 180g Vinyl im Gatefold inklusive der CD als Bonus.
