The Dark Flowers veröffentlichen ihr zweites Album »Indian Summer« mit Paul Statham, der eine einzigartige Sammlung von Kollaborateuren zusammenbringt, Jim Kerr, Gabriella Cilmi, David J, The Anchoress und Shelly Pooe im Juni 2025 auf Loki Records via Cargo. Mit dem Debütalbum 2014.
Radioland" brachte der Songwriter und Produzent Paul Statham eine Gruppe von Gastsängern für eine Sammlung zusammen, die von Sam Shepards "Motel Chronicles" inspiriert ist. Mit einer All-Star-Besetzung von Jim Kerr, Peter Murphy, The Anchoress, Shelly Poole, Dot Allison, Kate Havnevik und Helicopter Girl wurde das Album von MOJO als »ein perfektes Album für eine einsame Winternacht« (4/5) bezeichnet.
Auf dem 2025 erscheinenden Album ist Statham, Mitglied der Post-Punk-Band B-Movie und Co-Autor zahlreicher bekannter Künstler wie Dido, Kylie, Peter Murphy und Simple Minds, weiterhin als Produzent und Songwriter tätig. Wieder einmal spielt Shepards Prosa eine Schlüsselrolle, wobei »Hawk Moon«, der Begleitband zu »Motel Chronicles«, eine zusätzliche Inspirationsquelle darstellt. Jim Kerr von den Simple Minds ist ebenfalls mit 3 Tracks vertreten, ebenso wie die walisische Songwriterin und Multiinstrumentalistin The Anchoress. David J von Bauhaus/Love and Rockets ist ebenfalls mit von der Partie, ebenso wie Gabriella Cilmi, die 2 dunkle und betörende Tracks beisteuert. Abgerundet wird das Projekt durch Shelly Poole (von der Country/Folk-Band Red Sky July), einer langjährigen Freundin und Co-Autorin von 3 Songs.
