Damnations Day - woher kennt man die den? Schon mal gehört? 2014 auf der Accept-Tour gewesen? Da nämlich waren DD im Vorprogramm zu sehen. Nein, dann vielleicht bei Nightwish, Sybreed, Psycroptic, Black Majesty, Widow, Teramaze, Pegazus, Vanishing Point, King Parrot, Soilwork, Battle Beast, Salamandra, Circle II Circle oder Helloween? Da nämlich spielten die Australier auch zum Moshpit auf.
Ihr Debütalbum erschien 2013 auf Nightmare Records, betitelt Invisible The Dead und dann ging's auf Tour und die hinterließ unüberhörbar ihre Einflüsse.
Zwischen den Debüt und dem neuen Album, das 2015 und 2016 entstand, liegen Hör-Welten. Da ist viel Energie, viel Atmosphäre zu hören. Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Kamelot, Wolverine) hat A World Awakens gemastert, produziert und gemixt hat Dean Wells.
