“Following Sea” wurde kurz nach der Fertigstellung des vorherigen Albums “Keep You Close” aufgenommen, abermals unter der Federführung des Produzenten Adam Edler. Im Anschluss an das dunkle “Keep You Close”, wirkt “Following Sea” ungleich leichter und heller.
Für “Following Sea” haben dEUS z. B. ihren ersten französischsprachigen Song aufgenommen – “Quatre Mains” ist ein Spionage-Thriller Anfangsthema in Wartestellung - und auch einige ihrer zärtlichsten Momente wie in “Nothings”, “The Soft Fall” und “Crazy About You” lassen eine neue Seite von dEUS erkennen. Dennoch reiht sich das neue Album homogen in die Reihe der dEUS Album Klassiker ein und ist ein must-have für jeden Fan dieser belgischen Ausnahmeband.
