Um 45 Jahre Blancmange zu feiern, ist Everything Is Connected (Best Of) die erste von Neil Arthur kuratierte Sammlung, die eine geschmackvolle Mischung aus Hits und persönlichen Favoriten enthält. Ursprünglich aus der britischen Post-Punk-DIY-Szene stammend, hatten Blancmange 1982 Erfolg: Der Longplayer "Happy Families" wurde in Großbritannien mit Gold ausgezeichnet, und die drei Singles wurden zu internationalen Hits. Es folgten 7 Top-40-Hits und 70 Wochen in den britischen Albumcharts. Zu ihren langjährigen Bewunderern gehören Moby, John Grant und Honey Dijon, der feststellt, dass "der britische Synthie-Pop einen großen Einfluss auf die aufkeimende House-Szene hatte und Blancmange einen großen Anteil daran hatte."
