Black Pumas ist die Zusammenarbeit des 27-jährigen Newcomers Eric Burton und des Grammy-prämierten Gitarristen und Produzenten Adrian Quesada (Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, 2018s »Look At My Soul«).
Sie veröffentlichen nun ihr selbstbetiteltes Debüt via ATO Records. Schon bei ihrem letztjährigen SXSW Auftritt war jedem Zuschauer direkt klar, dass der Band ein großes Jahr 2019 bevorstehen wird. Der renommierte Radiosender NPR nannte die Band beispielsweise »The Breakout Band Of 2019«.
