Auf »Worthy« interpretiert Bettye LaVette elf fantastische Songs aus den Federn bekannter Songschreiber wie Mick Jagger & Keith, Bob Dylan, John Lennon & Paul McCartney, u. v.a. Produziert wurde das Album von Joe Henry, der die Zusammenarbeit mit Bettye LaVette wie folgt beschreibt:
