ASIA ist eine englische Rockband, die 1981 in London gegründet wurde und mehrfach Platin einholte und weltweit als Superstar gilt. Zu ihren Mitgliedern zählen einige der wichtigsten Vertreter der Prog-Rock-Szene, darunter Geoffrey Downes (Yes & The Buggles), Steve Howe (Yes), Greg Lake (ELP) und Carl Palmer (ELP).
Dieser unglaubliche Auftritt war die erste Live-Übertragung zwischen Japan und MTV und wurde bisher nur auf VHS veröffentlicht.
Jetzt ist zum ersten Mal die Veröffentlichung des Box-Sets »Asia In Asia - Live At The Budokan, 1983« geplant. Es enthält eine 2LP mit der Live-Performance, eine 2CD mit der japanischen und der US-Version sowie eine Blu-ray mit dem restaurierten Original-MTV-Konzertvideo mit neu abgemischtem Ton und dem Original-Laserdisc-MTV-Konzertvideo. Außerdem gibt es neun nachgestellte Erinnerungsstücke von der Tournee. Diese neu verpackte Veröffentlichung enthält das Original-Artwork des fantastischen Malers und Künstlers Roger Dean.
Das Album enthält einige der größten und bekanntesten Titel von ASIA. Darunter '»Heat Of The Moment«, »Only Time Will Tell«, »Sole Survivor« & »Wildest Dreams«.
