Nachdem sich die dänische Band Artillery in Tonträgerhandelskreisen einen Namen als eine der vielversprechendsten frühen europäischen Thrash-Metal-Bands gemacht hatte, veröffentlichte sie 1985 ihr Debüt »Fear of Tomorrow«. Ihre instrumentalen Fähigkeiten bei solch hohen Geschwindigkeiten klangen für die Mitte der 80er Jahre phänomenal, und der unverwechselbare Stil von Sänger Flemming Ronsdorf (irgendwo zwischen Bon Scott von AC/DC und Udo Dirkschneider von Accept) wurde zu einem der wichtigsten Erkennungsmerkmale von Artillery. Songs wie »The Almighty«, »Show Your Hate« und »Out of the Sky« repräsentieren die Crème de la Crème des europäischen Thrash im Jahr 1985.
