»Sie haben es mit Eclipse schon angedeutet, dass es wieder aufwärts geht. Ich hätte allerdings niemals zu hoffen gewagt, dass Amorphis ihre Top-Platte Elegy an zweite Stelle schieben können. Und doch ist es geschehen. Silent Waters verdient ob der schieren Qualität aller Lieder die volle Punktzahl. Nicht zuletzt aber auch wegen Ausnahme-Songs wie dem epischen ›I Of Crimson Blood‹, einem schmachtenden ›Her Alone‹ oder dem sehr folkigen ›Enigma‹.
