Das zeigte sich in den Riffs, die Joe und Brad für das nächste Album von der Tournee mitbrachten. Toys in the Attic war viel ausgefeilter als die anderen Sachen, die sie gemacht hatten.«
Das Album wurde in der Record Plant in New York aufgenommen, am 8. April 1975 veröffentlicht und erreichte dank der Singles »Sweet Emotion« und »Walk This Way« im September Platz 11.
Das Album ist mit acht Millionen verkauften Exemplaren die kommerziell erfolgreichste Studio-LP der Band in den USA.
