Product Information
Profound Lores latest addition to its doom metal roster, Witch Mountain, are the oldest doom metal band from the Pacific Northwest (bands such as Yob and Agalloch have even opened for them in the past). Earlier this year, Profound Lore re-issued the acclaimed South Of Salem on CD format (the first time the album was released on CD format) in a limited amount. Cauldron Of The Wild is easily the best material that Witch Mountain have put out in their 15 year career and is definitely a step forward from South Of Salem, which saw critical acclaim in 2011 from such notable outlets as NPR and Decibel magazine. This will be taken even further with the release of Cauldron Of The Wild: Cauldron Of The Wild was once again produced by legendary producer / engineer Billy Anderson (Sleep, High On Fire, Neurosis, The Melvins etc.): Previously a three-piece, the revamped Witch Mountain now boasts a new member, vocalist Uta Plotkin, one of, if not the best female vocalist in doom metal today. For fans of bands such as Black Sabbath, YOB, Pentagram, St. Vitus, Jex Thoth, Blood Ceremony, and The Devils Blood.
