Trygve Seim, nach Jan Garbarek Norwegens bekanntester Saxophonist von internationalem Rang, mit "Purcor", seinem mittlerweile vierten Album auf ECM. Im Gegensatz zu Vorgängeralben wie "Different Rivers" ist "Purcor" kein reines Jazzalbum. Vielmehr beziehen sich Seim und sein Mitstreiter Andreas Utem (Piano, Harmonium) auf unterschiedlichste Wurzeln zwischen Folk Songs, Theater- und spiritueller Kirchenmusik. "Purcor" ist ein bewusst simples Album voll klarer Melodien und Themen, das sein Publikum zwischen den Polen Kammermusik, Folklore und Jazz finden wird.
