Capital Gold DJ Randall Lee Rose started signing off his programme with "Sweet Dreams" by Tommy McLain, and both their phones and ours began ringing with enquiries about this track. "Sweet Dreams" is a song that works its way into the subconscious of the listener (getting a bit deep here aren't we? Ed)- originally written and recorded by Don Gibson in 1953 and since covered by Patsy Cline & Roy Buchanan Tommy McLain's version was originally released in 1966 reaching number 15 in the Billboard charts and went on to become an international hit. The single was issued on Louisiana's Jin label, and the rest of this album is culled from the material he recorded for them.
Sit back and listen to Tommy's soaring vocals and you will begin to understand the durability of his appeal.
