Suzy Bogguss is one of Country Music’s most engaging women singers. Blessed with a crystal –clear and distinctive country singing voice, Suzy Bogguss is also a talented songwriter and accomplished guitarist. Signing for Capitol in Nashville in 1987, she quickly became one of the most acclaimed Country singers of the eighties.
This release brings together in a single package, the first two albums recorded by Bogguss for Capitol .
‘Somewhere Between’ the debut album, cleverly bridged the past traditions of Nashville, with the mainstream of the time. Reviews were stunning. The ‘old’ is represented by songs by Merle Haggard and Hank Williams, whilst the ‘new’ included Suzy’s own songs and the hit ‘Cross My Broken Heart’ by Kyle Fleming and Verlon Thompson.
‘Moment Of Truth’, the follow up, is considered to be a little more ‘polished’ than it’s predecessor , but is also a superb collection of thought-provoking songs.
