McGuinn is best known as a founder member of The Byrds, that seminal 60s West Coast band that sparked the Folk Rock boom with such smash hits as ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ and ‘Turn, Turn, Turn’. Originally known as Jim, the singer / songwriter changed his first name to Roger when he launched a prolific solo recording career. Roger is backed by his touring band Thunderbyrd. His distinctive, mellifluous voice is heard on this 9-track CD, that features songs by Bob Dylan and Peter Frampton, as well as McGuinn originals ‘Dixie Highway’, ‘American Girl’ and ‘I’m Not Lonely Anymore’.
