Neben dem komplett remasterten 1988er-Original-Album umfasst diese Neu-Ausgabe eine Bonus-Disc mit unveröffentlichten Live-Versionen von Album-Titeln, dem Original-Demo von “We Make Love Falling“ und frühen Demos von Katharina Franck. Dazu kommt eine Bonus DVD mit einem bis dato unveröffentlichtem Pop-historischen, faszinierenden Live-Konzert der Rainbirds vom 16. Juni 1988 auf der Radrennbahn in Berlin-Weißensee während der Friedenswoche der Berliner Jugend.
Produziert vom `80er-Deutsch-Pop-Guru Udo Arndt (Nena, Annette Humpe, Ton Steine Scherben u. v.a.), eingespielt mit dem Studio-Über-Gitarristen Peter Weihe, wurde “Rainbirds“ ein zeitloser Klassiker, an dessen Erfolg die Band nicht mehr anknüpfen sollte, auch wenn die weiteren sechs bis 1999 veröffentlichten Alben von Franck und Co. stilistisch und produktionstechnisch wegweisend waren.
