Unterirdisch

Ist vielleicht eine Montagsplatte, trotzdem war die Freude groß bei der Ankunft und die Enttäuschung groß beim hören, die Platte geht zurück. Der Tonarm hüpft hin und her wie bei Graf gegen Navratilova. Schlimm

Die Klangqualität ist leider eine Katastrophe

Leider muss ich ich der Meinung von " anschließen. Ich hab es ausprobiert und hatte gehofft, dass es so schlimm schon nicht sein könnte. Aber es war echt noch schlimmer. Die Musik ist einfach genial und die Scheibe gehört für mich, neben dem Unplugged Album, zu einer der besten Placebo Alben überhaupt. Aber leider nicht auf Vinyl.
Auf CD wie damals schon, eine echte Kaufempfehlung, aber auf Vinyl ist sie ihr Geld nicht wert.

Klingt leider wie in der Mülltonne oder Blechdose aufgenommen. Schade, um dieses geniale Album. Miserables Vinyl-Mastering.
Zudem verstehe ich nach wie vor nicht, warum man empfindliches Gut wie Vinyl, in Papp- oder Papierhüllen eintüttet. Hier sollte doch die gefütterte Innenhülle ein Mindest-Standard sein. Es nützt ja wenig, wenn die Neuware schon verkratzt ankommt und statisch so aufgeladen ist, dass aus weitester Entfernung schon die Haustiere angezogen werden.
Musikalisch betrachtet könnte man das Zweitwerk "Without you I'm nothing" als das düsterste Placebo Album, mit dem entgültige Durchbruch gelang.Das lag natürlich auch an den Singles " Every You Every Me" und "Pure Morning", sicherlich aber auch an den Teils epischen Songs wie dem Titeltrack und dem heutigen Klassiker "My sweet Prince" und der Homogenität durch das Wechselspiel dieser zu rockigeren Nummern.
Das Album ist ein Muss, viele Fans halten es für das beste Placebo Album überaupt, ich würde zwei weitere noch vorziehen, in dieser Vinyl Fassung wird es der Musik leider nicht gerecht. Ich habe selten schlechtere Neupressungen gehört. Das ist bei den anderen Placebo Re-Releases deutlich besser gelungen.

1998 Zweites Album Without You I’m Nothing

Perfektes Album !!! Klang, Pressung, Musik, ein Genuss. Ausgenommen Brick Shithouse (meine Meinung gefällt nicht) Typisches Rock Album von Placebo. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Die vermutlich beste Placebo-Platte

Die 2. Platte von Placebo ist vermutlich ihre beste. Mit "Pure Morning" und "Every you Every me" sind 2 ihrer schönsten Stücke drauf. Kaufempfehlung!
