Das dritte Nightwish-Album "Wishmaster" aus dem Jahr 2000 war das erste Werk der finnischen Band, das in deren Heimat sofort nach dem Release auf Platz 1 der Charts schoss. Wie macht man so etwas? Nun ja, Nightwish machen das mit bombastischem Rock, virtuosen Keyboard-Teppichen, tollen Melodien und einer ausgebildeten Opernsängerin am Mikrofon. Klingt einfach, kriegt aber nicht jeder so souverän hin. Hierzulande gefiel die Mixtur jedenfalls so gut, dass die Scheibe bis auf Platz 21 der Album-Charts vordrang.
