ln den späten 70er-Jahren schlugen die beiden deutschen Elektronikmusiker Dieter Moebius und Hans-Joachim Roedelius individuelle Wege ein. Während Roedelius solo ging, setzte Moebius auf Kooperationen. Wie etwa mit dem Bassisten Gerd Beerbohm. Mit ihm konnte Moebius seine musikalischen Einflüsse - Minimalismus der 60er-Jahre, instrumentaler Rock'n' Roll der 50er und Improvisation - perfekt zu seiner Vorstellung von moderner Popmusik bündeln. Musik, die klar in die Zukunft blickt, in der entfernte Echos von Punk und New Wave dennoch hörbar sind, ebenso die Do-it-yourself- Attitüde, einer Grundeinstellung der Harmonia-Familie seit den 70er-Jahren.

Dieter Moebius is one of the most important protagonists of avant-garde electronic music in Germany (He is / was part of Cluster and Harmonia). He recorded two albums with the bassist Gerd Beerbohm in 1982 and 1983 – electronic avant-garde pop in its most rigorous form. Beerbohm turned out to be the perfect musical foil for Moebius, affording him free rein, in the very best sense of the expression, to bring his concept of pop music to life. Mastered from original tapes, liner notes by Asmus Tietchens.
