Das Trio The Marine Girls bestand aus Alice, Jane und Tracey. Ihr Albumdebüt »Beach Party« wurde ursprünglich auf Dan Treacys (Television Personalities) Whaam! Records veröffentlicht und erscheint hier inkl. des Cherry Red-Album »Lazy Ways« auf einer CD.
1983 trennten sich The Marine Girls und Tracey konzentrierte sich fortan auf Everything But The Girl, und Jane und Alice gründeten gemeinsam mit Lester Noel (später ein Teil von Beats International) die Formation Grab Grab The Haddock.
