Trommelwirbel, Fanfore, Zäsur: Achtung, Jubiläum!
Mit "Postcards From A Young Man" veröffentlicht die walisische Pop/Rock-lnstitution Manic Street Preachers im September 2O10 ihr mittlerweile Zehntes Album.
Darauf sollen - die Fans wird's freuen - altbewährte Qualitäten zum Tragen kommen: Nach dem vorsätzlich vergangenheitsbewältigenden Werk "Journal For Plague Lovers" im vergangenen Jahr, das unter der Leitung Krach-Koryphäe Steve Albini entstanden war, kündigt die Band für den kommenden Release u.a. Refrains im Stadionformot à la "Everything Must Go" und eine Rückkehr zu den klassischen Rock-Wurzeln ihres 2007er Albums "Send Away The Tigers" an. "Wir setzen diesmal wieder auf große Radio-Hits", diktierte Frontmann James Dean Bradfield den Redakteuren des NME jüngst ins Mikro.
Als Produzent griff das Trio wieder auf ihren bewährten Studio-Partner Dave Eringa zurück, der bislang an fünfeinhalb Manic-Street-Preachers- Alben (u.o. der UK-Nummer-Eins-LP "This ls My Thruth Tell Me Yours") und Bradfields Solo-Longplayer aus dem Jahre 2006 entscheidend mitgewirkt hatte. Chris Lord Alge (Green Day, Billy Talent, Paramore) übernahm den Mix.
