Unter Leitung von Winfred "Blue" Lovett (Komponist und Bandleiter) überlebten die Manhattans die 70-ger und 80-ger Jahren. In 1983 hatten die Manhattans ihre letzte große Hit ‘Crazy’ vom Album ‘Forever by your side’. Dieses Album war noch nie auf CD veröffentlicht und steht auf die Wantlist von vielen Soulfans. The Manhattans are a popular R & B vocal group with a string of hit records over three decades, but best known for their million-selling songs ‘Kiss and Say Goodbye’ and ‘Shining Star’ in 1976 and 1980, respectively. Under the leadership of Winfred "Blue" Lovett (who also composed some of the group's biggest hits), the Manhattans survived as a viable chart act well into the '80s, over two decades after their formation. In 1983 The Manhattans scored their last major hit ‘Crazy’ from the album ‘Forever by your side’. This album was never reissued and on wantlist of many soul fans. Finally after 26 years made available by PTG Records on CD!
