Wiederveröffentlichung des zweiten Parts der Manfred Mann's Earth Bands »Best Of«-Zusammenstellung. Schon bevor Manfred Mann (bürgerlich Manfred Lubowitz) große Erfolge mit seiner Earth Band feierte, gelangen ihm mit der Vorgängerband, die schlicht und einfach auch Manfred Mann hieß, bereits Hits wie »Pretty Flamingo« oder »Do Wah Diddy Diddy«.
Mit der Earth Band wurde der Sound dann aber um Einiges rockiger und kantiger, gerade im direkten Vergleich zu den Beat-Stücken der Anfangszeit. Mit ausgesuchten Coverversionen wie »Times They Are A-Changin« und Eigenkompositionen sollte die Earth Band über viele Alben den Prog-Rock mit prägen.
