As one of the most dynamic performers on the music scene today, Lucky Peterson takes another step towards capturing his amazing on-stage energy with his Blue Thumb debut. An astonishing guitar player, one of the finest Hammond B-3 organists around, and a soul shouter par excellance, Lucky combine all of these talents to stunning effect on this well-rounded set, simply titled Lucky Peterson.

Lucky Peterson's soul-infused blues sound is a gritty amalgam of his many influences - from gospel to country to funk and R&B. Some of the album's highlights include the sultry shuffle of "Seduction," the suggestive, Ray Charles-meets-B. B. King "Ta' Ta' You," a remarkable duet with labelmate Joe Louis Walker handling vocals on Willie Nelson's "Funny How Time Slips Away," and the album closer, a sly instrumental arrangement of Bobby Gentry's '60s classic, "Ode to Billy Joe."

Lucky Peterson will hit the road this fall and, as the old saying goes, "seeing is believing" - be sure to check him out. In the meantime, get on your blues shoes and move to the soulful stirrings of Lucky Peterson.
